Mr. James English is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals. He is also a visiting surgeon at the Bronovo Hospital in The Hague and on the regular teaching faculty at the European Surgical Institute in Hamburg. Privately, he has admitting rights at the Nuffield Hospitals in Haywards Heath and Brighton and at Goring Hall Hospital in Worthing.
His special interest is in complex pelvic laparoscopic surgery especially in the treatment of severe endometriosis. He has pioneered radical laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis in the United Kingdom and teaches extensively and publishes his results in peer reviewed journals.
Mr. English studied at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and subsequently trained at St. Bartholomew's and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals before becoming a consultant. His main area of research is in severe endometriosis and its management and he has lectured and published widely in this area. A list of his publications may be seen on this website.
